Now that Jack is here, I’ve found myself up at crazy hours during the morning nursing, and feeling like I’m the only person awake (outside of my husband). I imagine it wouldn’t feel so lonely if I had more mamas to share these feelings with. Nursing is tough, and it takes a lot out of me mentally and physically. Nursing has left me feeling exhausted, hormones out of whack, clothes constantly damp with milk, and beyond sleepy. All this to say, becoming a new mama has been quite the journey, and having community is vital to the journey.
