Hi Merle- Choosing a formula is very personal and it depends on what is important to you -- and finding a formula that has it all is hard. Before we started ByHeart, what we found frustrating was no formula was easy to digest, with next to breast milk benefits and clean ingredients. Here are some tips to navigating some of the alternate options on the market. Kendamil Classic Infant Formula or Kendamil Organic Infant Formula: if ingredient choice is your number one priority, these two Kendamil products are good alternatives. Both include whole milk, lactose (with no maltodextrin or corn syrup solids added). The classic formula is enriched with alpha-lactalbumin. Bubs Organic Grass Fed Infant Formula Stage 1: if you are looking for an organic formula, this alternative is made with organic grass-fed whole milk, and also features lactose and the same prebiotic as ByHeart, GOS and a probiotic. While there is no maltodextrin, corn syrup solids, or palm oil in this blend, it does contain soy. Nestle NAN SupremePro or Expertpro SensiPro is an alternative for those prioritizing easier digestion. Like ByHeart, these formulas contain partially hydrolyzed whey proteins and offer a formula designed for easy digestion without adding maltodextrin or corn syrup. This is not an organic product. Gentlease Formulas are another choice for easier digestion as they also contain partially hydrolyzed proteins, however their primary source of carbohydrates are corn syrup solids not lactose. Enspire Gentlease is the only formula in the Gentlease line that contains lactoferrin.
